Christmas 2017

Christmas Eve fell on a Sunday this year (which is totally awesome). We were able to go to sacrament meeting of church and sing some really pretty but really difficult songs. (Josh and I are in the choir). Here's our cute little tree all ready for the big day.
And we had to get some post church pictures all dressed up.

This is the most natural smile I have ever seen, Will...

Yeah, that's more like it.

Me attempting to get a picture of Jonah by the tree.

I love his little church duds though so I followed him around for a while.

That night for Christmas Eve we went to visit Rex's grave. Trav and Rach made some beautiful luminaries for him. We sure do miss that guy.

Then after,\ clam chowder at Grandma Maughan's we came home to set out some milk and cookies and open a few gifts.

I'm pretty sure Kate is in love with her new jammies. She hasn't worn anything else since she got them.

Josh's gift from Will.

Yeah...they were a little excited before bed.

Rach got some cute new jammies too.

Will opened one from his pre-school teacher that was Reindeer food to sprinkle on the lawn.
After they all FINALLY went to sleep and Santa had  come!! He was good to us this year!
We told the kids they couldn't come up until 6:00am. We heard little pitter pattering of feet around 4:30 and pretended to be asleep for the next hour and a half every few minutes they'd come to check on us to see if we were awake. At 5:45 Rach and in and said "Okay. Time to get up! Hup 2,3,4!" We said "Nope, not until 6:00!" So then they went to the kitchen, marched around the house and started the countdown...5:51....5;51.....5:51...5:52...all the way until 6:00.
It was worth the wait!

Someone else was able to join us when the rest of us were about done. It looked like a bomb went off by the time he got there!

Camping's going to be fun this summer! Hope we find some big campsites for our 3 bedroom suite.

Don't mess with Josh....just sayin'

We had so many BIG boxes this year.
Josh got a new bike!

The boys had to show off their new shirts that I ruined our kitchen table making....don't ask...but I do love the shirts!

The best gift of all....
Who stole mommy's slipper?
Not only was Santa good to us, the whole morning totally magical...but it was a white Christmas! We did NOT think this would happen because we've hardly had any snow this year. So the kids spent a good deal of the day sledding.

I loved just spending the day with the people I love the most! Merry Christmas!!
