#9 is Fine!

Will's birthday rolled around again. Just like last year.  I can't believe this thing keeps coming! This year he turned the big #9!

He had a pretty good day. Unfortunately, it was a school day so he had to go hit the books but since they did away with birthday table I went and checked him out of school so we could go get lunch together. He opted for McDonald's which is kinda funny since we NEVER go there. I think he was underwhelmed. Ha ha!
That night was full of not so fun birthday stuff. He came with me to my soccer practice for Kate's team. The team did sing to him and it was awesome having his help. Then we had to hurry off to Kate's piano recital! Kate did an amazing job (but again, not what Will would choose for his birthday activity...but he didn't complain). And as soon as we walked out of the library there was a birthday rainbow just for Will! It was awesome!!
After the recital and a late pizza dinner he FINALLY opened his presents!

It lasted all of 25 seconds but he seemed pleased with everything and it was getting late. His request for a cake was "sharks surrounding an alligator." I don't know....this is what I came up with but he liked it!

Then a couple days later we got to celebrate again and I took a bunch of wiggly, talkative boys to the rec center to swim.
We started with presents and doughnuts in the lobby.

Then I didn't see them for like an hour and a half besides the occasional check in or swim by. They had a BLAST! (I brought Kate and Jonah too)

9 is such a fun age and they are such fun/funny boys. I sure love Will and love any chance I can to celebrate him. Happy birthday buddy!!

Track

If baseball and soccer weren't enough to keep us busy then why not throw some track in there too? 2 different track programs while you're at it.

Josh loved track and did really well! Again, I didn't put the pictures in any particular order other than they way they uploaded.

Such cute kids!
Sometimes I brought my fan base along with me. (but I usually left them home)

Josh did 100m hurdles, long jump, 100 m dash (I think...I'm having hard time remembering). He did the mile once and a relay once. He did great!

I have WAY more pictures of Josh because he did more events and I always took videos of Rach instead of still pictures. Sorry Rach. I'll try to get some better ones next year!
Rach was helping at the KJH track meet for high jump. I love that Josh went to say hello.

 I love it!
