May days

Here is May in a nutshell. A very nutty shell.

First, I got released from my calling as Primary 1st counselor. We had been in a while and our secretary got stolen for a stake calling so we knew it was coming. It still was kinda sad to be released and I miss hanging out with the kids every Sunday! I have this aversion to relief society since I've had very little experience actually being in a calling where I can go, so we'll see how that goes...This was a fun presidency!
Handsome Josh at a track meet.
Trav and I snuck away to do a session at the temple.
And he's still a fun dad.

My mothers day gift was a cool new lawnmower! I was super excited because I am the one that mows our lawn. I love this new machine!
Park days with my buddy.

Kate had her Dare graduation.
Finding shade at the soccer games.
Cutest little baseball players.

Josh turned 15!! Josh is so chill, so easy to be around. Never stirs up trouble. Funny, polite, smart...seriously....every parents dream. Everyone should have a Josh in their life.
He had a soccer game on his birthday. His cute team sang to him after the game and I brought them all doughnuts which they loved because they never get treats.

Pippin is still hanging around and is everyone's favorite.
I had my (Kate's) soccer team over for a team party marshmallow roast. I seriously love these girls and had so much fun coaching them this year!

A little sad to see our season end.

(and our weekly ice cream trips)
Backyard fires still going strong.
A few days after his birthday, Josh had some friends over for a movie night. I wish he'd have them over more often. Such awesome boys!

I went on an end of year field trip with Will
I volunteered at field day
Then Kate had her 6th grade graduation!!
Last day of school for Will and his allergies...

Last day of Kindergarten for the Maughans forever. Sniff sniff.

Kate's graduation was great. I'm so proud of this girl.

I'm so glad she has this BFF to help her navigate jr high
Mrs. Burns was the BEST teacher. Kate had her for 1st grade then again for 6th. Kate was totally fine until she hugged Mrs. Burns goodbye then we all lost it.

Last time as an elementary student!!
Last time going to afternoon kindergarten...

Jonah and Milo. Could be twins...

Mrs. Piper. Another one of the greats. I wish I had more kindergartners coming up just so we could get her as a teacher again. She's the best!
Milo's mom couldn't come to drop off so she asked me to get a picture of Milo with Mrs.Piper for her. Jonah thought he was supposed to be front and center..Ha ha!
We weren't able to get a picture of these 3 at graduation so I forced them to come to our house to get one in their hats. These 3 have been best buddies since kindergarten (mrs.Pipers class). I sure love these girls!

Annual last day of school party at Clemens.
And since I didn't get any pictures of Josh and his last days at the jr. high I took some screen shots of KJH insta because Josh was in a ton of their pictures! I'm glad someone got some of him!

Trav stopped the murder of this sweet little bird when Pippin was attacking him. Don't know how to teach him to go for just the mice and rats and leave cute baby birds alone. He got to him just in time!
We built him a little house to rest in while he recovered.
He stayed in there for about an hour then was ready to go run around again. We never saw him again so we're convinced he found his family and was safe and sound.

Memorial day services at grandpa's grave in the rain

We took a first of summer hike and it was rainy! It's hardly ever rainy this time of year!

Family night at Grandma Maughans
Kate's first time mowing the lawn (and using my fancy new mower)
These 2 cute boys just sat on the swing for over an hour just chatting like little old men. Will and Liam.
Rach had her buddies over for a campout in our back yard the first week of summer too. Such cute girls!
Mother's day: Best day of the year.

Sad to see another year come to an end but sure love these crazy kids of mine! Happy May!
