Somebody's One!!

But I'll get to that in a minute...

First we got a house project done!  Trav built the most gorgeous mantel for our fireplace. It totally changes the look of the room and I LOVE it!  We didn't take a "before" picture so I searched through old pictures to see what I could find.  Here a picture in the background of cute Mr.Josh of what our fireplace used to look like.  Pretty ugly, huh?
(I'm not talking about Josh)

Here's the "during" phase.....

And the finished product!  It looks a-maz-ing!!

Next, soccer season started again.  Have I ever said how much I love soccer?  I love soccer.  I want to jump in there and play with the kids but I have been good at restraining myself.
Nothing get's past this guy...

And Rachel is the designated "kicker" for her team. She does all of the goal kicks or free kicks or whatever kicks need to be done.  That's totally what I used to do too.  She inherited her mother's "boot."

This kid keeps losing teeth for some reason...
And I had a birthday!  My family spoils me rotten.  Rach and Josh were trying to convince me they needed to stay home from school to celebrate all day with me.  I thought "Oh how sweet!" but then when it was time to sing "happy birthday" and blow out the candles both of them were on the couch with their noses in a book.  They didn't even care!  Little stinkers.
At least Kate and "gummy bear" were there for me.  It was so nice to just go on a date (Zupas and see the movie Divergent) even though I am getting older.  At least I'm getting wiser too.
A few days ago we got sprinkler power.  Our water pressure is on and despite it looking nice and warm outside it was actually like 50 degrees.  That didn't stop Kate and Erika from getting their suits on and running through the sprinklers.  They came in and had hot chocolate when they were done.
This is what happens when I give William a binky....He has no clue what to do with it.

And then on Saturday, April 19th this bad boy turned 1!!  How on earth did my baby turn 1?  He loved opening presents....

"Okay everyone, put your heads close together so we can get a sibling shot"  I like the look on Rachel's face.  Ha ha!
He does love his new squirmy worm book.
We also decided to dye our Easter eggs that day too.
Waiting for the the eggs is so much fun!!
That night we had our Easter party at my parents house.  Yummy dinner, Easter egg hunts and great company.  What could be better?

Rachel's favorite prize was the fan
And since we had the whole family gathered anyway, we decided to celebrate William's birthday at the same time too!  Win-win.  So we gave him his cake.  At first he loved it and dug right in.  Mmmmm....Chocolate....

After a few minutes though things turned from good to bad.  He couldn't get that chocolate off of him!
Rachel made the mistake of getting a little too close...

He'd cry, shove some cake in in his mouth, cry again, more cake. I totally understand buddy..... I totally understand.....
He almost dumped the whole thing on the ground when he couldn't take it anymore.
We finally got him cleaned up and crawling around.  The kids all made a line of tunnels for him to crawl through which he loved!
As soon as he'd go through their legs they'd run to the back of the line for him to go again.  Some tunnels were a little bigger than others....
Then we had this great idea of making a pyramid....

Kate got in her "meditative state" when nobody could figure out how to make a pyramid...
The pyramid wasn't quite so successful....but they still had fun.
This guy was just crawling all over the place and having so much fun.  Such a handsome boy!

Kate wanted her picture with the birthday boy.
 Josh wanted in.
Ah, let's just get the whole gang!
Then we brought the ice cream out! (Because Easter candy and chocolate cake wasn't enough)
 Everyone was happy to share....
 My favorite picture..........
All my boys love ice cream.
Tyler was copying everything Nate was doing. It was so cute I had to capture it.
 Will and grandma.

Okay, now to Easter Sunday.  Holy cow, a lot of things have happened!  William got to find his eggs first because they were hidden inside.  He loved the egg with marshmallow's inside, not so much the Cheerio one....
And then the big kids got their hunt outside.  It's seriously impossible to get cute pictures of them while they're hunting.
I do like Rachel's "hunting outfit" though.

 Now they're sorting their loot...

I totally forgot to get a cute "church picture" all dressed up.  It's a miracle we even make it to church sometimes.  But here's one last one for the road....
Happy Easter!!
