Frozen!!

We heard the elementary school was going to do a musical and Aunt Heather was the producer with her company Spotlight. Kate and Will haven't ever done anything like this before and both were a little unsure about it. I kind of forced them to try it out and I'm SO glad I did! They had SO much fun and the play was adorable. Both of them have said they want to do this again!

Somehow my pictures got in reverse order so we're going to work our way backwards. Kate's role was "Ice Magic" which was a really cool(ha ha!)/fun role! Who knew our cute Kate was a dancer?!? I certainly didn't but she did great! Her bestie was "Middle Elsa" and did such a great job too! The cutest friends!

This is what I get when I say "Will, smile!"
Will was a townsperson/troll and did an excellent job!
I kept forcing them to take a million pictures. I got to be there for all of their performances because I got to do the spotlight. Kate's make-up changed every night too. This one was the best...

The first rehearsal I was at this was my view....on the stage! It was fun to see it from here and I snapped this shot of Will's amazing socks and a troll!
Such a handsome dude!

These are from the first night.

Mid-performance shots.
Will in his favorite spot hanging out on the side...
Kate front and center belting it out!

This song (Let it go) was the BEST part of the show! They did such a good job and it was fun Kate got to be a part of it.

I loved all of Will's outfits. In all of them his pants were way too big so he was pulling them up the whole time.

It's good to know Kate's keeping a close eye on Erika.

It was the cutest show and I'm so happy they got to do that (and I got to spend some extra time with my sister).

Speed style camping

We went on a super-speedy (less than 20 hours) camping trip up to the church property by Oakley. We just wanted to test it out to see how it was and it was great! We literally had the entire campground to ourselves because it was labor day weekend....the last weekend they were open. We pulled up to our spot and there was a tractor so we knew Jonah and Will would be entertained the rest of the trip.

The biggest bummer was that we couldn't have campfires we we had to get warm by the charcoal briquettes.
Dinner kind of took forever to cook (guess we should've done some meal prep before we left) but it tasted AMAZING when it was done!
Rachel, Jonah, Will and I slept in the tent trailer, while Kate, Josh and Trav slept in hammocks. I went to see how Kate slept and there was ice on her hammock! It was a cold night but she stayed toasty warm!

The campsite was also right next to a stream, so that was fun!

We did some hiking, exploring, throwing rocks in the water, you know....campy stuff.

I guess I didn't look too closely at Jonah's shoes before we left. 2 different spiderman shoes. I'm glad he at least had a right foot and left foot!
Even though it was super short, it was a great trip and always so good to get away!
