The Redwoods, the final chapter

Had to document breakfast at the tiny bar.

One last pic of our golden girls house.
Today we dropped Trav and Josh off to go ride their bikes and the rest of us did a mini hike then down to a different, safer beach.

It was gorgeous, the waves weren't sketchy and the water was cold!

But we still loved it.

The kids found sand dollars. This one was still alive.

They all collected shells and crab claws. Bet you can't guess who's pile this is.

When we very first stepped foot of the beach Jonah  "went #1" right where we set up. No warning...nothing. So we had to scoot home base a few feet away and circle the spot to avoid.

Josh and Trav eventually made it to the beach with us. The kids sandcastle was under attack from the waves and I loved how Will sacrificed his whole body to save it.

This was definitely more fun to play in the water here. And I can't help but take a million beach pictures.

This place is paradise

These two boys loved being roommates on this trip.

On our way home the last hotel we got a little creative with being minus one bed. It was perfect!

The last day at the beach I was good to put sunscreen on everywhere but my feet. They got fried! I will NEVER make that mistake again. I felt fine at the beach but as soon as we got back to the house they were burning up and totally swelled up. By the next morning I could barely walk they were so swollen. It was miserable. I soaked them in a cold tub as much as I possibly could but unfortunately it was travel time so we spent the next 2 days in the car.

I guess I'm glad it happened at the end and not the beginning!

It really was the most magical, fun trip and I'm SO glad we got to go! I love the Redwoods!!
