Maughan reunion 2018

This year for our Maughan reunion we went somewhere in Idaho (I honestly can't remember what town we were in....only that we passed 'Squirrel Cemetery' and thought that the headstones were really large for squirrels. :)

We stayed in this awesome cabin and barn on 40 acres of private land. We had a lot of fun just exploring the place!

We even had our own little pond that the kids spent hours catching frogs and fish on.
We had canoes and paddle boards too.
Josh caught the first of many frogs
Will would hitch a ride with whoever would take him on one. Zach was one of his favorites to paddle him around.
 Tyrel doesn't need no swimsuit!

The main cabin had a huge kitchen and family area will a pool table.
The deck out back was huge and gorgeous overlooking the rushing river.
And there was a big bar in the main room but we used it as a 'candy bar.'
I really should have written about this sooner because I can't remember the names of anywhere we went! But one of the days we hiked up to this gorgeous waterfall!

Jonah didn't love hiking up to the top of it though.

While some of the others went on a bigger hike I took my kids down to play in the water for the longest time. It was cold but we had a great time!

Where's the camp soap when you need it?

Another big foot pose. How do my kids do it?

This was Jonah's birthday activity so Trav was trying to help him hold up 2 fingers.

Then it was back to our private pond!

If you stuck your feet in the water the little fishies would come and nibble you. People pay big bucks for that kind of treatment!

Grandma brought up lots of bubbles to help celebrate Jonah's birthday!

Those that wore their Maughan shirts get a special picture all to themselves.

 He liked it!
To celebrate this big boy we made cupcakes to share with everyone.
It was fun to have everyone there to sing to him

And though I didn't get too many pictures, he loved every one of his gifts.

Kate even drew a picture of a flag for him.
 Time to eat!

These are a little out of order because these are my phone pictures. Here's my patriotic boy.

Will caught the first and biggest fish of all! The look on his face is priceless.

One of the days a bunch of us were able to go on a horse ride. So Rach, Josh and I were the ones from our little family to go. It was a fun ride (and beautiful) but boy was I saddle sore!

 Will and Zach catching frogs.
Jonah couldn't reach the cookies on the counter.
Or the candy bar. Man...this is a rough place!

Did I mention there was a hot tub on the deck too?
What an awesome place to just sit and chill.
We slept upstairs in the barn in a room with a bathroom, but the kids slept downstairs in legit horse stalls. How cool is that?

 We love cousin time!
Smile if you're cute and 2 years old!

I have to say that the reunion was a success (and we only almost lost Jonah in the river once)! Good times.
