Maughan Reunion 2017

For the Maughan reunion we got to go back to Bear Lake! I really love that place. This year we got to stay in Cindy and Ted's fancy schmancy new cabin. So new, the basement wasn't even done yet. But it was beautiful and we had a great time.

We kept asking the kids to get them to try wake-boarding this year. But nope...Rach and Josh did NOT want to try. But my little daredevil Kate did! She tried a couple times not even close to getting up, then Tim said he wanted to try to help her. So they hopped in and this happened.....

Tim wake-boarded with her! She had so much fun and then tried wake-boarding again without Tim later in the trip and totally got up on her own! My 7 year old wake-boarder!! I'm so proud. Josh eventually tried too and got up for a few seconds. I'm glad they're trying it out. Maybe they'll come to love it as much as I do!

But when we weren't at the lake, most of my time was devoted to feeding this kid.....
I swear he never stops eating. I love how his hair blows in the wind too.
Bear Lake was so full this year that there really wasn't any beach except at North beach (which was super crowded). But lucky for us, that we're related to Cindy and Ted. They have their own private beach right by north beach! Jonah is a total beach bum!

There were lots of plants in the water, but it was still an awesome beach!

We got some paddle boating in....
 Big boating in.....
 Building sandcastles.....
 Playing with Grandma....

 Sandy toes....
 Soggy bottoms....

 Squirt and run....

 Paddle boarding....

 Snoozing....

 Sandy kisses...
 Cheese Ballin'....

 Beachy good time!!!
We also went to the Paris Ice Caves. It was SO hot being on the beach that the freezing cold caves were a nice welcome.

And they were full of ice! It was so cool! (pun intended)

I can't believe it was 100 degrees outside and still icy inside. So crazy!

Then it was back to the beach. Jonah showed us his mad skills at doing the splits.
This is the view we got from eating lunch at the cabin. So gorgeous!

 And don't forget the sass.

Jonah loved hanging out with Uncle Terry.
We also went 4-wheeling. When we were riding around we noticed a mama deer acting weird and then ran away to try to distract us. I noticed something on the road where she had been and it was a brand new teeny tiny deer! It was so cute! It just huddled into a ball trying not to be seen. Pretty soon it jumped up and ran to join it's mama.
We also got to do Zack's Eagle Court of Honor one night. It was nice we could all be there for that.
The annual picture of everyone who remembers to bring their Maughan shirts...
Somehow Will ended up bringing all the cheese balls home. I blame Uncle Terry.
Trav and I got some awesome wake-boarding runs in. No pictures of me, but Wendy got some shots of Trav.

 Here's the whole crew!

The kids did get some tubing in....so that was fun!

 And here's our beach.
I LOVE the Maughan's and love that we have this tradition. We always have so much fun. It didn't hurt to end the trip at LaBeau's either. Gotta love those raspberry shakes!
