Packing it all in

We were trying to squeeze in every last ounce of summer so we packed a lot in.
First, Jonah got the BEST birthday present from grandma and grandpa. It was a little late but that's because it was getting worked on in the shop. My dad gave Jonah his train!!! This is like a HUGE deal. I only remember this train being pulled out a handful of times when I was kid. It was the "no touch" toy but with Jonah's obsession with trains my dad thought it was time to dust it off and let the train live again!
To say he was excited is an understatement.
We got it all set up and he was in the zone.
Pippin wasn't quite sure what to think.

It really is the coolest train!

He loves that train and played with it non-stop for weeks then when we finally forced it out of the front room he just started carrying the engine around.

We were able to spend a day at Cherry Hill and had a blast! Too bad Rach wasn't able to be there since she was the reason we were able to go.

We had to buy some mini doughnuts that we've heard so much about... Good to the last drop.

Jonah was obsessed with driving the ship

We also made a few trips to Lagoon

And got SOAKED on Rattlesnake Rapids
We played lots in the backyard
Passed out on the couch every so often
Yeah...he's still here
We finally got to see what the marching band has been up to all summer. It was amazing!!!
Trav built a cool garden shed with wood from our old deck.
Soccer practice...
More trains and more kitty. We're obsessed.

Will had a slimy activity days
Trampoline park.

Aquarium...

And I finally got to go on the Terror ride! It's been years since I've been on it and when Kate and I went to Lagoon on our date that was my one required ride. It totally wasn't worth the long line! (why is that line always SO long?)

We did almost die on Samuari on this trip. It was a little windy the whole time were were there and a storm was definitely coming but we wanted to do one last ride before we left...samuari. The storm arrived while we were ON the ride. Hurricane strong winds, broken branches, salt in the air... It was completely terrifying. Thank goodness we were strapped down. Way scarier than the terror ride!! We ran as fast as we could to our car right after that ride and it started pouring rain so hard. We were lucky to get out when we did.

And we all love Pippin to pieces.
