Camp M&M

Camping with the Maynes every year is always the highlight of the summer and this year did not disappoint. We were able to get the group site so we hung out the whole time by the same fire. It was great!

The kids made a hammock forest and slept out there every night which made the tents pretty empty.
I just love these 2 girls and am so grateful they have each other.

These boys were off in their own little world of imagination the entire time.

I love the Jonah is just one of the boys and Jack and Will don't get sick of him. He's just one of the crew.

Every year we're not sure what the water level situation is going to be like at the lake. This year was really low so it made for an interesting, gooey, muddy, seaweedy beach.
But you gotta love Jonah's footprints in that gooey mud.

One of the best things about the Maynes is that kids play SO well together. Nobody is bored or need to be entertained. They just go play. All day.
Rach eatin' lunch in the lake. Ha ha!

Will just ran. All the time.

Cute Molly.

I'm also grateful Rach has Kelly. She's the big sister Rach never had.

I love the series of these next 3 pictures.

Rach came back and said she had caught a fish in the net she found.

We didn't know why it was so funny until we realized she caught a dead fish and it was dripping blood everywhere. Gross!
Of course we did our tie dye.

No water up there so we ended up rinsing them out after we were home.
Trav eatin' chicken
The next day we went back to the lake and found a better sandy beach spot. The kids spent hours making a waterfall and a dam for this little stream.

Jonah loves Erika too. :)
He's pretty good at flying too!
We had the beach to ourselves for most of the day. It's so pretty there!
The boys/men spent a LOT of time fishing. It's good I love hanging out with Christa so much!

The lodge nestled in the trees.
The tooth that wouldn't let go. I thought for sure it would come out during this trip but it held on for like 2 more weeks!
Looking dirtier and more scraggly as the days go by...

The hammock forest.

I found my phone photos. So these are a little out of order.

The chipmunks were really friendly so the kids spent a lot of time trying to feed them.

Cute Sadie was just learning to walk and was a pro by the end of the trip. She had lots of good helpers.

I tried to get a night shot of the hammock forest but it didn't turn out like I'd hoped.

Erika made Kate this shirt. She loves it and added it to her strict rotation.

We brought up our Tryazon game and played it.

We roasted Twinkies.

And we had our marshmallow war!

The whole crew. Man, I love this group!!

Can't wait until next year!
