4th of July

Everything was cancelled for the 4th of July this year. No parade, no carnival, no fireworks. We didn't know what we were going to do. But it ended up being a great 4th of July! That morning our neighbor, Gary, graced us with the nation anthem on his electric guitar. I actually loved it. Then Kaysville had a "1st responders" parade so we invited the Hardy's, Shelton's and Schicks over to watch the parade.

Our neighborhood decorated the park with flags.

The parade lasted all of 2 minutes but it was a great way to start the day. Then we went back to our house for a yummy breakfast and hanging out with cousins. (which I forgot to take pictures of)
We were looking cool all day long.

That day we went swimming at the Jones', that night we had a bbq with just our little family and some fireworks.

When we were outside we heard this music getting louder and louder. Pretty soon, our cute neighbors, the Nybos, came marching by in their own homemade parade with their 2 man band. They threw candy for us too! It was so fun!

The bike parade....

That night we went to the Maynes house to hang out and watch fireworks together. It was such a fun day and a great way to celebrate this great country!
