The 4th

Josh woke up bright and early on the 3rd (the 4th was on Sunday) and ran in the Kaysville 5K. He's been running with cross country all summer and is in really good shape and he did great!

Centerville wasn't really doing much this year so we had to tweak our plans and we went to the Kaysville parade!
It was sunny and HOT but Rach was playing in the band so it was SO fun to see her.

Grandma and Grandpa even came.
And we got to sit with the Maynes. I'm glad they shared their spot with us because it was a great spot!

Once they threw out popcices to the crowd...Jonah was pretty much done.

We came home for a little slip n slide with the Hardy's

Then that night the Maynes also invited us to go to fireworks with them. Glad we have such good buddies.

The boys all spent their dough on light sabers.

Jonah's face in this one...ha ha!
My favorite picture ever....
The next day was the actual 4th so we did a little celebrating again.

The wind changed directions and a storm blew in!

Patriotic pancakes for breakfast.
Then on Monday, Rach was in the Layton parade. So me and the 3 youngest packed up and went to another parade! This one started out with popcicles!

It was a great holiday. Just a few side-note items...Trav started building a garden shed so I wanted to show the progress on that.

We've been to Lagoon-a-beach a couple times
And Kate's been mastering her card tower skills
