September-ings

Rach snuck this picture of Will and Pippin. It was too cute.
He likes to pretend he's a tiger in the jungle. The corn is by far his most favorite place outside.
It was finally Jonah's turn to go to school! He was SO excited. He actually wasn't feeling great the morning of the first day of school so I kept him home for one last day of snuggles and hanging out with mom. But by the next day he was feeling good and ready to go!

We even got there early enough that he was the first one in line!
Kate sometimes gets a little help with her homework
And watch out everyone! Look who's driving!!

We went up to Silver Lake to hang out one evening.
So pretty! Rach wasn't able to come :(. I think she had to work.

Kate got a mortal wound while there

And we saw a moose! He was pretty close to the trail but was just chillaxing.

We got a new fire pit and LOVE it!

There was a big fire not too far from our house. It looked like it was AT our house from this angle! Thankfully, it was in the west end marshes in Farmington so it didn't get to any houses or structures but our house got really smokey. It was pretty crazy.
But the power did go out for a while so we had to play games by lamplight.
Jonah and his buddy Milo in the line for school. They are 2 peas in a pod.
For family night we went to go see how the Layton temple was coming along. We always get there when it's dark so the pictures never turn out too well but it's fun to see the progress.
Kate and Jonah were blurry in the last picture so I had to get another one of them.
This right here has been SO much fun to watch! I LOVE Davis' marching band and I love that Rach has been a part of it. I've gotten to see their show quite a few times and it's so incredible this year! These pictures are from the parent preview night..... Their first time performing in their costumes. Are they called costumes? Outfits? Band gear? I know there's dinkles, bibs and plumes (insert Rach rolling her eyes) but I'm not sure what to call it all together. Band ensemble? That works...
Rach's #1 fan club!

Jonah's getting pretty good at writing his name!
Yeah, this guy's still around.
He is the most patient cat. Especially with Jonah.

It's been such a nice fall. I love seeing the kids playing outside together for hours.
And Trav workin' on the deck.

 Good times!
