Conference at the cabin

We had so much fun at the cabin the first time, we decided to go back for conference weekend. But we still put the kids to work....

Jonah still carried around a flag.
He also made a special brew for the deer
I forgot our bingo cards so we had to hurry and make some new ones.
Yeah...this is his new picture pose.
I love this picture. The coziness of the cabin with conference playing and my favorite people.
My kids are so good during conference. They listen, play bingo to earn prizes, they recap and tell me what each speaker talks about. Awesome!!
In between sessions we went on a stroll around the block.

Trying to get Josh to not do his weird face...

Even though he doesn't take pictures too well he is a great big brother to Jonah. His shoes kept falling off and Josh was right there to help him.

Well...Trav had to help a few times too.

The leaves were SO gorgeous. It really was the perfect time to be up there.

Will wants me to take a picture of him with this tree every time we go to see who grows the fastest. I like that idea.
Round 2 of conference. Some lasted longer than others.

On Saturday night I wanted to go to a church to watch women's conference. This was the very first time they did women's conference and not Priesthood session the Saturday of conference, and it was Kate's first time to be able to go. So me, my mom, Rachel and Kate headed down to Heber not knowing exactly where to go. We went to about 3 different church's until we found one that had lots of cars. We knew that had to be the one! We went inside to find a big dinner taking place (the Heber stake provided dinner before) but someone told us we were in the right place. We sat down with only 5 minutes to spare and thinking we were really cool. At least until the broadcast started....in Spanish!! It was SO funny! We totally got the giggles and could not stop laughing about it. It took them like 15 minutes (and flipping through several different language channels) before they got the English one up and working. But by then we couldn't stop laughing about it.

The conference was awesome and I heard so many amazing things and we topped the night off at "the train" for some ice cream. Definitely a memorable women's conference.

Sunday morning we woke up to a surprise! SNOW!! Naturally, Jonah ate a snowball for breakfast.

Okay, this looks like it could be a Christmas card or something. So cute!

The snow and the leaves was beautiful.

We did not think it was going to snow so we were totally unprepared clothing-wise.

But snowball fights and snowmen still happened.
This guy was looking in the window the rest of the time.
And the squirrel kept coming around so we knew what we needed to do.
Peanuts on top of the snowman!

Look at my fancy squirrel hat!
I swear this squirrel is doing sign language for "more"
 Okay, Daisy...whatever you need!

The  big announcement for conference was starting in January we're moving to 2 hour church!! That will be an adjustment but good!

Here's one last one for the road....
