Summer 2017

I feel like I keep having random posts about summer stuff, and this is another one...so bear with me. Here's a picture of Kate with her BFF's Erika and Morgan.
I had a genius idea to put gold in our stream so the kids spent a few afternoons panning for gold in the backyard.

Trav took Rach and Josh on their first backpacking trip in the Uintah's.
I took the kids to one of my childhood frequent stops: Rainbow Snow.
We did a movie under the stars up at Snowbasin. The Jungle Book.
One of our mutual activities was a gigantic slip n slide....like HUGE! It was So amazingly fun but I didn't take any pictures. But I did take a picture of them playing in the pool afterward.
We took Rachel to the temple for the first time!! It was such a great experience. I LOVED being there with her and that Trav was able to baptize her. She was able to do an extra name because a lady was there that had 1 family name she wanted done. She kept thanking Rach and telling her how much it meant that she could get baptized for her. I think that was awesome because it really helped her see how important that work is. It was such a neat morning. And....stopping at Waffle Love on the way home didn't hurt either. Holy Schmoley those waffles are good!
My nephew Nate gave his farewell talk for his mission that we were able to go see. He's going to (Well...he's there now) Washington D.C. It was great being up there for the weekend to see him and his family. Ever since then whenever Will prays he says "Please bless Nate on his trip." We keep telling him it's his mission but he just forgets.

Here's the whole crew! We were all able to be there!!

Mr. Blue eyes enjoying a day at Lagoon.

Will wanted to try on my light up shirt.
For Rachel's lesson at family night we spent some time building scripture stories out of Legos. It was a lot of fun! And they turned out great! Here's the boys version of Samuel the Lamanite.

And the girls totally awesome temple...complete with garden area.

And a marriage taking place across the alter (with the infinity mirror)

 More playing in the stream.
Rach hit the milestone of shaving her legs for the first time!! AHHHHH!
The kids slept outside and the bug spray did NOT work. Kate and Will were eaten alive the next morning. Here's Kate the little China girl.
Will looked like he had a weird disease.
The pictures really don't look as bad as they looked in real life.

Josh has turned into my helper chef. It's been great!

Someday Rach, you'll appreciate having random pictures taken of you.
