Christmas! Couldn't come fast enough this year. For Christmas Eve we visited Grandpa's grave then had clam chowder at Grandma Maughan's house with Christmas stories.
Then we rushed home to open 1 present each.

"Avocado....nobody knows where Rachel....Avocado....nobody knows where Rachel..."
Then it was cookies and carrots for Santa and the reindeer...
And sometime in the night (before the basement bathroom flooded) Santa came! The bathroom was a fun surprise at 3:00am.
This was supposed to be a "leaner" year. Oops.
It was purely magical!
This kid was so fun because he LOVED everything. To the point he didn't even want to open his 2nd present because he just wanted to play with the first one he got. Of course he got everything Batman.

Josh got Jonah this little turtle. Jonah LOVES turtles and every time he tells a story someone ends up turning into a little turtle and everyone is happy by the end. He lovingly named this one 'Stinky-Roodle-Doo" I love it!
Amidst a million new toys my boys will still pick up a good book.
But someone was done by 8:00am. They "allowed" us to sleep in until 6:00 because of the bathroom incident. Thanks kids.
We had one more gift under the tree. Each kid had an envelope full of puzzle pieces. Once they put the puzzle together and discovering it said "Star Horse IV" on the back they knew a scavenger hunt was about to begin. But with Trav the author of the said hunt it was going to be EPIC!
Jonah had to bring his stash during the hunt.
They were solving clues, unlocking locks....
In the garage...
In the storage room....
They even had to watch movie clips to get answers to some of the clues....
Jonah just wanted to build his Batman Legos
They finally found the end clue (after using a blacklight on the original puzzle that gave GPS coordinates they had to look up on a map, which was the combination for the final lock, which unwrapped Disney t-shirts for everyone.......(Told you it was amazing).....WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!
Come Spring Break Disneyland better watch out. The Maughans are headed for you!!
