Last hurrah at the cabin

We had one last ditch effort of a vacation before school started, so we headed up to the cabin. Don't worry, the beards made it up there too.
We had delicious on the grill pizza that night for dinner.

Plenty of time tromping through the woods...
Josh and Mini-Josh (Oh, I mean Tyler) made some pretty awesome backpacks.
Rachel spent most of her time making her very own hat!
William tried his hand at hat making too. All of the kids worked on this hat for a while and chose different colors to put on it. Will fell in love with the hat and insisted it was his.
My mom and Aimee chillin' at the park.

I'm pretty sure Kate had a red mustache the entire time we were there.

Here's the cute cousins going on an "adventure"
And luckily they have a big enough teeter-totter.
I like how Kate's mid-air in this picture.
Who thinks the cabin is the best?

My favorite part is taking long walks around the 'hood. It's so pretty up there!

Luckily, daddy was able to come for night 2 and he and Josh were always looking up birds and animals they were itentifying in their animal book.
Aimee is a master crocheter. Kate requested a raccoon hat and sure enough, a few hours later, her wish was granted!

My mom put all the kids to work scrubbing the outdoor chairs and tables. They had a best time. Wish they were that enthusiastic at my house!

Here's the coveted and beloved hat. (And please don't pass by this picture without taking note of his ears. Ha ha!)
Trav took this picture and although it's a little blurry, I think it's really cool.

The finished product of Rachel's hat!! Aimee did make the flower to add a little accent. So cute!
We also had to go do the big teeter totter in the woods.

Life is grand in the mountains!
