Schick Reunion 2015-Part 1

I had to break this post into 2 because I have SO many pictures!! Sheesh!
So our reunion this year was in McCall, Idaho, which is gorgeous but a very long drive away. We decided (and the kids actually agreed) to wake up really early and hit the road by 6:00am to get some driving out of the way. So we did it! We didn't hit our first stop until Twin Falls and it was only 9:00am. We did decide to stop at Shoshone Falls because it's gorgeous, and let's face it....we had a whole day to kill.

Batman wouldn't get out of his jammies....but at least he's super cute.

After killing some time there we hit the road again. Next we stopped in Boise for lunch. We were trying to decide if there were any other stops we wanted to make because we couldn't check into the cabin until 4:00. But lucky for us, Carls Jr. had the best playland and we spent a lot of time there. The kids did NOT want to leave!

I've never been to McCall before but when we drove through the canyon we found this......
 Gorgeous!!
There were some pretty wildflowers by the cabin so we had to sneak a few pictures in.

I think this is my new favorite picture....
After dinner we decided to walk down to the beach which was across the street. On our way we made a friend. I asked him what he said and he wouldn't even answer! How rude! I guess we'll never know what the fox says.

Josh caught a fish at the beach.
"Hold it in front of you so it looks bigger! That's better!"
They were all dying to get in. I don't think those shorts can get any shorter!

The next day we rented a boat! Let me just say that the Schick's do not boat. We never really had access to one growing up and when you don't, you just never go. So this was a ton of fun to get everyone out in a boat! A lot of the kids wanted to try wake boarding for the first time. After I got a good run in (and gorgeous water) Nate was up.
Here's one of Mr. Handsome that I just threw in...
 He got so close....
Not quite! I think if we would have had another day on the boat they all would have got it! I'm bummed we didn't get any of them up!
So then Trav had to show them how it was done.

 Then Jessie wanted to try.
 And Adam too...
Now Rachel has been talking up learning how to wakeboard all year long. She wanted to learn last year but broke her ankle right before we left so she didn't try. She talked about it all the time. So here she is...finally trying the wakeboard!
She looks so happy and excited!
 Getting a little worried....

 She totally got up!
 And this...
She got the board flipped upside down which is hard to switch back around when you're a featherweight.
 Here's the flag boy.

 She tried again...
But was too worried about plugging her nose.
Flipped around again, and where did that look of joy go?

So we moved onto kids that prefer not to get their hair wet. Kate and Josh.

Then Rach and Jessie decided to go.
They got a huge wave. Ha ha! Look at Rachel's face!
It wasn't so fun after that.
 Nate and Adam.

Trav put them through the ringer and they stayed on!

Back to the beach with miss Hallee
 Mr. Chocolate lips.
 and Posey Kate.

They all worked hard to make a sand castle.
William was the official water pourer...
Okay, I don't mean to be gross, but this picture is SO funny to me. Can anyone see why? Kate does have a reputation for going to the bathroom 1000 times a day. Just so you know...she's dumping a bucket of water out.  I promise.

Grandma had a spacial touch to put Will to sleep.
I think the "shade man" helped.

I got to go back on the boat again to watch Jack and Jacob.
 Alex and Kate.
 Trav and Will.

 Marc and Jack
Then I had to beg Rach to go out with me. Look at her face in these pictures! Ha ha!

She finally decided it was fun!
Erin also was able to put William to sleep on the boat. What a tired boy!
Rach tried one more time on the wakeboard. She was SO close!
 but this happened....
She wouldn't try after that one last attempt. I really, honestly think she could have done it if she would have tried a couple more times. It was such a fun day on the boat and on the beach. Payette lake is gorgeous!
