July

Gosh, I love summer! Here's what July brought us:

Lazy days of board games
Hikes

Bike rides to the temple
Kate and Erika were the only takers of running the 4th of July 5K
Ready for the parade and all the 4th festivities

Then we went and tubed down the Weber river!

Some of us liked it more than others. I actually did love it but ended up with a GIANT bruise on my tailbone after going off a waterfall with Jonah on my lap. Ouch!
Then to the park for fireworks!
 I Don't know what Trav's eating....

This is my absolute favorite summer thing to see out the window
We had our Schick family reunion in Logan this year. Trav and I were in charge and found this house with a really cool garage to play in. It was a hit!! And we spent the majority of our time in this garage.

Even grandma and grandpa got in on the action

We did spend a morning at first dam....reminds me of my college days.

The water was freezing but the paddle boarding was fun!
We of course had to hit the cheese factory

And Pepperidge farm too
We stocked up
Back to the house for more games
And hot tubbing
The next morning we hiked to the wind caves

Back to the cabin for some art

And more garage time

On our way home we stopped in Wellsville to see Grandpa Rex's banner on the street.
Kate's preparing for our puzzle contest next year.
I'm glad my kids will still humor me and play at parks. I love park days and they are getting fewer and farther apart
And splash pads
I took the 3 youngers to the planetarium

We love Kaysville creamery!

I also took them to Snow Basin for a hike

They had these obstacles out for a race I think people jump over? They were SO high!
Jonah went through a pirate phase with his peg leg.

Will's idea of heaven
And Jonah turned 8!!

Gosh, I wish they'd all stop growing up! But this kids LOVES his birthday!

He whipped through his stack of presents so fast. He does not mess around.

Will made his a special message to wake up to
He did have a friend party that was basically a big water fight. He loved it.

Peg leg is back for the party

Chick fil a for lunch of course
And swimming at the Jones' to wind up the perfect day

He's totally in his element

He got lot of new legos to play with
And recruited some help to put them together
Meanwhile, Kate's summer looked more like this....
Brothers!
We got to go to the 24th of July rodeo in Ogden. It was my kids first rodeo and it was fun!

Always time for the temple!
And Rach got her mission call!!!

Jumbo was the only one that got it right.....Tempe, Arizona!! She will do great things in Arizona even if it was the last place on Earth she would've chosen. I'm excited to see where this journey will take her.
Woot woot Rach!!

Rach taught us how to make jolly rancher  bubbles

Pippin's favorite spot
We made some squishy little animals and I especially love Jonah's cute crab
We did a backpacking trip to Grand daddy basin

I hope the kids remember trips like this. So fun!

Then we had to have a photo shoot with Mr. Handsome for his baptism pictures!

He loves his suit.

I wish we could stretch out summer a little longer!
