June

Highlights from June:

Family night Frisbee golf

Camping in the backyard

Jumping with a million orbeez

Jonah started piano lessons!

We had a "Maughan adults trip" to visit Wendy in Bluff but Will and Jonah got to come too because all my older kids were at youth conference. Will gives Bluff 2 thumbs up!
There's only one restaurant in town and they opened it up for us and a private breakfast which was fun!

Then we went exploring!

We all rented side by sides to cruise around in
Jonah loved how he looked in his helmet!

It was SO hot and SO dusty!
But we got to see a lot of cool things

Sweaty hair!
It was nice to cool off in some water

This is the cutest little church you'll ever see. I think it's in Monticello
Staying at Wendy's is always a favorite.
We had dinner up on the Bluff one of the nights
We watched the sunset and it was a gorgeous view!

Our Surburban had brake problems. We had to take it to the shop in Monticello, so we got to bum a ride with Wendy
We went on some cool hikes

Saw lots of amazing ruins

If you look closely you can see corn cobs!

Perfect shirt for this kid
Mike is always a troublemaker

We waded in the river

We had to pay off some sketchy guy to go see Poncho house which was so cool!

The hike got a little crazy at times

There were pieces of pottery everywhere!

This innocent looking dwelling is now named the spider house. It was literally the most terrifying thing I have ever seen in my entire life.

This is the ceiling and yes those are spiders!!!

Jonah was Mike's shadow and would follow him off trail everywhere he went. Mike rarely stays on trail.
We had to visit Bluff fort where Terry showed the art of panning for gold

Back to real life we had a Temple trip with the youth!
Messy twister

Swimming at Cindy's

Visiting Rach at Bowmans
We got to go skiing with Tom!

Fire drill!

Fathers day for the greatest dad

I can't get this to rotate but this was an awesome puzzle (and reenactment)

Trying to practice at the same time so it'll go faster

Giant bubbles!

Then of course we had our annual M&M camp!

We got to celebrate Rach's birthday while camping so we had to decorate!

Jonah playing "Sleeping Beauty" where he whacks all the sticks

Tie dye time!

We even made a dutch oven birthday cake!

When we got home Pippin made sure we weren't about to leave again.
For Rachel's big birthday gift...when we got back we took her to go see How to Train Your Dragon (one of her favorite movies) being scored by the Utah Symphony live. It was SO fun!

Gotta love the lemonade stands
And the unveiling of the tie dye shirts
Then Kate and I were off to girls camp! Where we busted pots
Ate sushi (the only kind I like)

We went zip lining at Olympic park

Found a sketchy abandoned van

I Love being at camp with Kate!

Back home to chill with everyone else

The boys did a practice backpacking trip getting ready for the winds

Will trying the high dive at the ward pool party!
Summers are the best!
